Our great leader Atatürk declared our Republic 100 years ago...

This year, we are experiencing the justified pride and happiness of reaching the 100th year of our Republic.

Atatürk's proclamation of the Republic on October 29, 1923, is the fruit of the struggle for independence and the revolutions.

The declaration of the Republic is a great step for the Turkish nation towards freedom and democracy. Atatürk has presented to the Turkish nation the opportunity to emerge from a dark period into light.

The day of the proclamation of the Republic, October 29, is the day when the Turkish nation's resistance against invading forces and the declaration of our independence took place, thanks to the determination and resilience of the Turkish people during the War of Independence and Atatürk's military leadership skills and strategic vision.

The Republic has enabled Turkey to strengthen, modernize, and become a part of the contemporary world.

The revolutions realized under Atatürk's leadership have revolutionized many fields, from education to arts, law to politics.

Republicanism undertaken on the basis of equality, justice, freedom, and independence has strengthened the unity and solidarity of the Turkish nation.

On the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Turkey is achieving great successes under the leadership of our 12th President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The progress achieved in the economic, social, and political fields has increased Turkey's influence on the world stage.

This significant milestone is not just a celebration but also an opportunity for transformation. The retrospective evaluations to be made on the 100th year of the Republic offer an opportunity to determine new goals and visions.

National unity and solidarity will enable progress and development. Today, the 100th anniversary of our Republic should be celebrated with the determination to achieve the goals of our great leader and contribute to further strengthening Turkey.

However, we must not forget the necessity of taking stronger steps towards the future instead of being content with the achievements gained in the past 100 years.

As Atatürk also said, "The new generation will sustain the Republic." Therefore, we must pass on contemporary values to our youth, invest more in science and technology, and further strengthen democratic values.

With the aim of elevating the Republic together and always striving for a brighter future...
